Visitors :)

Last time we have some visitors in Vienna: Ray's brother and his girlfriend Ines and a good friend of mine from France Maggie (well this is just her nick name during the time outside France, as her real name is Maguelonne (Magoo, Mag))
It was really fun to have all of them here.
With Maggie is a funny story: we met each other in 1998 in Vienna: she was working here and I was doing my language course and luckily we were living in the same dormitory:)
that time we had a really great time, together with some other people: Marina (Spain), Walter (Finland), Daniel (Poland/ Austria), Hans (Austria), Stephano (Italy- South Tirol)...we were doing a lot of things together! I'll never forget that time!

I kept in contact with Maggie till 2002, maybe 2003 and than suddenly we lost each other... I was thinking of calling her parents for some contact to her, she was thinking about the same:) But finally at the begin of 2007 she found me through internet (she found my blog :))

She spend 10 days in Vienna:) It was great time! I miss her already, as we call each other soul sisters :)

She got to know 2 friends of mine: Clemens and Reini, as at the evening she arrived we have a small Game Evening :) Unfortunatelly Andi had to leave :(

We met than once in the Mensa and once at the Herrmann's Strandbar (one of the biggest beach bars Europe's:)

We all also went to the Donauturm for a dinner, as it was a birthday gift for David from Ray. It was really nice evening

and to the Heuriger We (Ray and myself) enjoyed the time very much.
Hope to see you soon, all of you :)

EURO 2012 in Poland and Ukraine

It's such a nice news! I never ever thought of Poland as a co-organizer of such a big event as EURO 2012!
But nevertheless this is really cool news :))

EASTER TIME

..especially important event in catholic church...and for my parents. I would rather go for some vacation , somewhere where the sun is shinning and people are happy all the time!

Nevertheless I'm happy to see my parents again, as I didn't see them since christmas.
As usually I wanted to buy the bus tickets in the last minute but to my big suprise this year all tickets till Thursday were sold out!!!! I freeked out...but in my panic I found out an eurolines ticket servise online and I bough it for Friday!
My mam is already a bit sad that I'll be at home first on Saturday, but I cannot do it better right now.

On Sunnday there will be a traditional easter breakfast with eggs, and a weird kind of soup. We will wish each other all the best :) And afterwards I would have to go to the church, even though I'm not going there. But juts for God and my father sake I'll go. It's just an hour.

It's pitty we don't have the Easter Bunny :S But I'll survive without the bunny somehow :D

My parents in Vienna

The first weekend of October my parents finally came to Vienna. It was a very nice weekend having them here just for few days...
I realiyed how much I love them and how important they are to me....
I found to myself again and I'm very happy as everything goes like it should and there are no threads any more for me...my university is very ok, my work and my personal life couldn't be better....so probably therefore I'm happy again and full of optimism ...and I can realise what is really important in my life.
But back to my parents:
I think they had a nice time in Vienna, although my mom got sick, but at least they have seen something.
It happend that they still saw the Bear Exhibition at Karlsplatz in Vienna: United Buddy Bears 2006. www.ubb-wien.com
Each united bear has been designed individually by an artist on behalf of his or her native country. 137 bears represent United Nations member countries. Standing together hand in hand they promote tolerance and mutual understanding between different nations and cultures.
During the global tour the bears will repeatedly be sold off in ausctions in aid of children in need. Have a look at some of them :

My papa has a picture with a polish bear

and Ray of course with the belgian one :)
So nice those bears :)

PARIS, PARIS...

So this is Paris, a city of love and all what is related to it!
I was dreaming of going there since I can remember, but all the time there was no chance for me to go there. But finally, this summer I made my dream came true!

This is a really amazing city. There is so much to see and to visit....You have to spent at least one month to be trough almost all museums and galeries and palasts.
Just for Louvre you need about a week, without any breaks, to see all paintings ans skulptures and other things, considering that you stay at every püainting only for 10 secs...

I have such a good time there! We saw a lot of important places and monuments, which mean a lot to the history, to Paris, to France and to french people...

I did it...even though I have an acrophobia..so I've to be very proud of me...I've managed till the 2nd level of the Eifel Tower, a little more and it will be to high :)

Avenue des Champs-Élysées the most known Boulevard of Paris

Being in Paris as a Pole and don't visit Cimetiére du Pére-Lachaise would be a shame, because of a famous monument of Chopin! Yes, it was a polish composer...

And some more images about Paris:

La Villette and LA Géode - 36 meter high reflective bowl with a 180° silver screen!

Montmartre and Basilique du Sacré Coeur

Moulin Rouge

There are a lot of more pictures which we took in Paris, but I would like to show the last ones which I like the most!

I hope you enjoyed the tour through Paris :)

And only NYC is fast enough for you.
Maybe you'll set yourself up with a killer career
Or simply take in all the city has to offer.
